T is for Tiny
Found in our yard this afternoon
About a week ago Troy found a birds nest on top of our hose reel. We took note of it and forgot about it. This afternoon Troy noticed the nest again as he was working in the yard. It had taken on a more definitive bowl shape and so he got closer to check it out. It was quite a surprise to look inside and discover three tiny blue eggs. So delicate and incredibly precious.
I snapped a couple pictures while Momma bird stood nearby and chirped at us. We were careful not to touch the nest or the eggs and got out of the way as quick as possible. I did not want Momma bird to be scared any longer than necessary, but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph such beauty.
As soon as we were a safe distance away from the nest Momma bird flew in to protect her babies and keep them warm. I guarantee the first thing I will do on Easter morning is rush outside to check on our beautiful blue eggs!
Happy Easter!!!
